The affairs of the world will go on forever. Do not delay the practice of meditation. - Milarepa
Pei Mantras - thoughts don’t stick if you repeat mantras Give no energy, not even accept, punish with no attention, just do what you were about to do anyways
What happens in our life is a reflection of our karma. How we react to what happens is a reflection of our maturity.
Try to let things be. Try to let the sun rise on its own. Try to let the sun set on its own. If you’re sick, let it be and try not to get too hung up about it. If you’re dying, just let it be, don’t try to fight it, because it’s natural. It’s not a bad thing at all. You know, we’re meant to move on in a way, and just go further and further. We are never meant to stay in one place and get stuck there. So, therefore, try to somehow find a way to let it be, in your own way. Whatever way works. Of course we are individuals, we all have our own way of letting go and letting things be. Try to do that, and by doing that, then all the things we wish for automatically come. I cannot explain why. We often think that if you want things you must do things but often that doesn’t work. And when we finally get what we want we are not happy with it, and we want something else. So therefore, if you let it be, in fact, the things we want the most actually come. It’s the funniest thing. We don’t know how to explain it, but that’s the way it is. So in that spirit, in that mindset, try to let things be. Then whatever it is that you’re looking for, it will come.
Lasting changes occur in people who do prostrations and there is no better way to remove confused energy-streams from years of intoxicants, home-made philosophies, or inactivity than by putting one’s system through this “horse cure”

“Never give up! Never stop looking for the very best! Never stop yourself to make one step to be kind to others! Never stand there saying: “I am doing quite well middle size!” You have to be top size! This is what the Buddhas expect from us, and I kick your behinds if you don’t give it! The world is a difficult place and changes many, many times! Therefore: Every day take refuge in your transmission lineage! … Every day is the first day of the rest of your life! It is really important that you make every day count! Go step by step! That you don’t see somebody to be too difficult, but you make a few good wishes for him if you have no time for something else. And that you are good examples! That you are brave! That you are happy! That you give energy to others! That you bless others with all the things you have and get here! That we share that out! …We are very lucky people. There are not many people around the world like us. Due to our lineage and the kindness of our teachers we have things in our hands, we are gifted, we can do many things! So, do it!” Lama Ole EC 13.8.17
No revenge - gift and say I decided not to know you anymore. Have a happy life
Life’s goal cannot be a comfortable and blank existance until its end, but rather must be a constantly growing challenge of discovering one’s full potential
“In Buddhism, if you suffer, there is nothing special or sacred about it, which means that you have made a mistake somewhere” -Lama Ole Nydahl
Accept that everything changes all the time
Always begin your day with very conscious wishes to be useful to others
The key is to accept that everything is change, meaning yesterday is gone. The past is past. This is what ‘accepting impermanence’ means. The answer lies there. To convince ourselves or to be able to ‘sell’ this idea, we need proof, a guarantee. If you look at all the experienced ones, actual Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, they are that very proof. But if even they are not convincing enough, then I will personally vouch that it does work, and that it does not take long. It does not take aeons, it does not take years or days even. It works right here, right now. All you have to do is truly give in to change, give in to impermanence, and give in to that truth. That’s all it takes! - Karmapa xvii
Amazing advice for friends who “often don’t know what they want”… “The best advice for those who are primarily hindered by confusion is to use the “salami method”. When you build your life properly, slice by slice, day by day, you should think as little as possible, doing and finishing what is right in front of your nose. If we continue to do this, over time, experience will appear, the relationship of cause and effect will become obvious. In practice, this means the desire to use every moment for the most effective actions, while at the same time making the best possible sense of their results and not standing still, like an old nag or an old crocodile, not knowing whether to crawl forward or backward.”
Lama Ole Nydahl
“Therefore, I would not periodically get nervous and think: “What must I do now?” Instead, I would let conditions gather like a big stream, uniting its outer and inner potential and finding its best way. As things come naturally, they will grow through their own power. Enjoy them; they are richness to be shared! Don’t have your life in one place and your head somewhere else.”
Lama Ole Nydahl
Karma: Know situation, how it is Wish to do it Do it or have it done Be satisfied afterwards
Situations will repeat until you learn Are you trying to get through life in the most pleasant way or really get to place to be useful to others
